Landskap Shiraz/Merlot 2020
Origin:
Stellenbosch
Climate:
Mediterranean - The summers are hot and dry with cold, wet winters. The annual rainfall is about 800mm. Supplementary irrigation during summer.
Soil:
Well-drained gravel soils.
Vinification:
Good quality grapes are harvested at a full ripe stage (24°B). The crushed grapes are inoculated with pure yeast and fermented dry at 26 - 28 °C. Alcoholic fermentation is completed in about 7 - 8 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wines received oak maturation for 6 weeks.
Product description:
"Landskap", meaning Landscape, is a blend of Shiraz (50%) and Merlot (50%). It has aromas of ripe berries, plum and chocolate, with hints of vanilla. Medium-bodied wine, soft on the palate, with a few years ageing potential as well.
Serving suggestion:
At 16-18°C, with red meat, pastas and fish.
Landskap Chenin Blanc 2020
This wine was made from specially selected grapes of old bush vines planted in 1981.
The Chenin Blanc “Landskap” (meaning Landscape), offers sweet tropical aromas of guava, apple, ripe pears and melon. Rich and well balanced wine with long, smooth finish.
Serving suggestion
At 12-14˚C, with fish, poultry and vegetable dishes.
